The Cyber Unit’s primary functions are state infrastructure, Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) participation, and training.  The Cyber Unit engages NW3C (National White Collar Crime Center), ASCIA (Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies), IACP (International Association of Chiefs of Police) Cyber Workgroup, SAW (Security Architecture Workgroup), DHS CERT (Department of Homeland Security Computer Emergency Readiness Team), and the FBI CTF (Federal Bureau of Investigation Cyber Task Force) and lead by protecting Nebraska’s state and business infrastructure.
